    About Us

Larkis was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and traveled east to attend Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland to study political science. After his studies, he moved to Harlem, New York and inhaled the residuals of the Renaissance gaining a respect and passion for poetry and the art of acting, which prompted him to start writing poems and short stories. He attributes his writings to his academic experience at Morgan State and his cultural experience in New York, which inspire the political undertones reflecting his extensive and continuing research and study of the science of politics.

Since receiving his actor's certificate from Andre Lee Ellis & Co. he has performed several monologues, performed in "The Meeting" with the Hansberry-Sands Theater Company (HSTC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and became the founder and creator of Evolutionary Artworks (EA). His works include co-directing the 2017 Baltimore Magazine award-winning Fades & Fellowship. Milwaukee School of Engineering (WMSE) 91.7 FM radio personality “Phase 1”: An extra on the Spike Lee production "Get on The Bus" and performed multiple 'open mic' sessions across the country. Understanding the potent healing qualities art has on the psyche and the soul, Larkis has been dedicated to providing artistic pieces with content that aims at enhancing social awareness. As the Founder and CEO of Evolutionary Artworks, his most noted work is producing, directing and acting as Malcolm X in the theatrical performance of "The Meeting". Larkis has been bridging cultures to facilitate candid and effective dialogue about sensitive issues such as race relations and politics for more than 15 years.
